This page explains the data used by The Shop Owner's Friend.
Information used by the app
Account details include your name, email and optional phone number. Shop data includes products, stock, sales, receipts, staff and any customer details you enter. Passwords are stored as hashes.
Google sign-in and email
Google sign-in supplies a verified email, profile name and account identifier. The app does not receive your Google password. Transactional email is sent through the configured email provider, which receives the recipient address and message content.
Storage and access
The app stores shop records in its database and uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. Shop permissions control staff access. Hosting and email providers process the information needed to run the service. Camera scanning decodes barcodes in your browser; the scanner does not upload the camera feed.
Your choices
Only enter customer information you are authorised to use. You can export sales reports. Contact support to request help with access, correction, deletion or retention questions. This page does not promise a specific retention period or recovery time.
